Privacy Policy

The short version. Stellara does not require an account. Your questions and answers are stored only on your iPhone. We do not run analytics, trackers, or advertising. The only data that briefly touches our servers is the question text you send to your chosen oracle — and we don't keep it.

1. What we collect

We do not collect personal data on our servers. Specifically:

Your questions and the oracle's answers are stored only on your device, in app storage (Apple's SwiftData).
On first launch, the app generates a random anonymous device identifier (a UUID). This identifier is used solely to rate-limit our API. It is not linked to your Apple ID, your name, your email, or any other identity.

2. How questions are processed

When you ask a question:

The question text is sent to our backend (Cloudflare Workers).
Our backend forwards the question to Anthropic's Claude API to generate the oracle's answer.
The answer is sent back to your device and stored there.
Neither the question nor the answer is logged on our servers beyond the minimal counters required to enforce daily rate limits per anonymous device ID.

3. What we do not do

No accounts, no sign-up, no email, no password.
No advertising, no ad networks, no SDKs from advertising companies.
No analytics or telemetry on user behaviour.
No selling, sharing, or licensing of any user data to anyone, ever.
No location collection. No contacts collection. No microphone or camera access (unless you use Apple's standard dictation keyboard, which is handled by iOS, not by Stellara).

4. Third-party services

Stellara relies on two third parties to deliver oracle answers. Both have their own privacy commitments:

5. Children's privacy

Stellara is rated 12+ and is not intended for users under 12. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If a parent or guardian believes that a child has used Stellara in a way they object to, please contact us at me@codybuen8526m.homes and we'll respond as quickly as we can.

6. Your rights

Because we do not associate any data with an identifiable person, there is no personal account to access, export, or delete on our side. The data the app stores about you lives on your device, and you control it directly:

To delete your history of questions and answers, use the in-app "Clear history" option, or uninstall the app.
Uninstalling the app permanently removes all locally stored data.

7. Security

All network traffic between Stellara and our backend is protected by standard TLS (HTTPS). We do not implement custom cryptography, and the app declares ITSAppUsesNonExemptEncryption = false in its Info.plist.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, if the change is material, we'll mention it inside the app. Continuing to use Stellara after a change means you accept the updated policy.
